Provision

Todd Durrant from the American record label A Different Drum contacted me in July 2004 to remix the song “Visualize” by the American band Provision to be included on the bonus CD of the limited edition of their new album of the same name.

I was very happy with the invitation because I already knew the band and had really liked their first album Evaporate, which was entirely produced by the band Red Flag, well known worldwide, including here in Brazil, for the hit “Russian Radio”.

The band was formed in 2000 by Leslie Hyman and Breye Kiser after leaving the band U-N-I, and other members have come and gone. Provisionis still active today and their main influences, besides Red Flag of course, are Anything Box, Information Society, Nitzer Ebb, The Human League and Gary Numan.

Their sound is always compared to that of Information Society, Red Flag, Moskwa TV and Cetu Javu. In fact, they mix all of this with modern synthpop, forming a unique style that is really cool and different.

” WOW!!! It’s freaking Incredible Bro!!! Thank You so much, this is really sweet. I am honored to have had the “Talented” Freddy Hajas, Remix the title track from our upcoming 2nd album. It has a really cool Latin flavor like Cetu Javu with that modern Dance sound to it. Thank You again for such a great remix!!! “

Breye Kiser

My remix was done and released in record time. The whole process took no more than 2 months. It came out at the end of August 2004 on the bonus CD of the album “Visualize” which was limited to 1000 copies. I was very honored to be chosen to remix the song that also carries the name of the album.
