Even though I was a big fan of !distain and they were one of the first bands I liked in the modern scene, I had never had any contact with them. However, through the production of my remix album Synthphony REMIXed! vol.2, I was introduced to them by David Lin from the record label to remix one of their tracks, and we soon became friends.
After the success of my remix of “Sex’n’Cross”, which received countless positive reviews and was always considered one of the highlights of the album, I was invited by the band/record label to participate in their remix album, which I was very happy and honored to participate in.
There was a vote by fans from all over the world to choose the songs for the album, and after they were chosen, David sent me the list to choose which song to remix. I chose “Remote Control” because it was the first song by the band that I heard (and loved!), and it was the one that got me interested in the band, in addition to having sentimental value for me.
Despite the distance, we worked side by side on every step of the remix production and it was a really cool experience that I will never forget. We decided not to work on the vocals, but rather as a completely new song, thus giving me total freedom in the remix and then recording the vocals.
So after finishing a basic version of the instrumental, I sent it to them where they recorded the vocals especially for my remix. After receiving the new vocals, I finished the remix and did a basic mix so they could get an idea of how it sounded, and then we did the mix practically together, polishing the song/vocals until everything was perfect to our ears.
The end result was really good, it was one of the highlights of the band’s new remix album. For the same Remix Album there was a Remix Contest open to everyone, and I was invited to evaluate the remixes sent in to select the winning remix together with the band and the record company. It turned out that the remix I chose from P24 was the winner and was released right after mine on the album.

The band liked it so much that they asked me for the base of it so they could use it in their live performances. Soon my version became the official version played at all their shows and soon became one of the highlights of their performances.
“Yes thats right!! I love your version and its gonna be a highlight of the cd! Thank you again! And we will play this Version live…just tell us where to download! I am very happy that we have the same understanding of music…!!! Thank you very much for that great remix!”
