In 2004, I was invited by the American band Tristraum to remix the song “I’m Under No One”, a new band I hadn’t heard of before, and I was impressed by their sound. This remix was supposed to be released as a B-Side on the single “First Embrace”, which would be released the following year.
I was already working on this remix when I was asked by Synthphony Records to do the album Synthphony REMIXed! Vol.2. I liked the song so much that I wanted it to be featured on my album, and not just as a B-Side on a single. So I talked to the band about having it released on my album, which was very well received and encouraged by the band. As a result, it became the only track with female vocals on the album.
