Brand New Day is a solo project by American Joe Ramey from the band Eurovision, with whom I have worked a few times in the past, from remixes to restoration work.
Joe has different guests for each track, and sent me the songs “All I Wanted” and “Starting Over (A Brand New Day)” so I could choose which one to remix. Both feature vocals by David Penpek.
I ended up choosing “All I Wanted” because I thought it was more like me, and I did a very strong remix, very different from the remix I did for his band Eurovision. Joe liked it a lot and soon asked me to make the remix available on his Amazon website, where it received a good number of downloads.
The double album Starting Over was released on March 15, 2005, and my remix is on the second album.
