{"id":646,"date":"1994-01-20T21:13:00","date_gmt":"1994-01-20T21:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/?post_type=portfolio_item&#038;p=646"},"modified":"2025-01-22T03:15:00","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T03:15:00","slug":"moskito","status":"publish","type":"portfolio_item","link":"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/project\/moskito\/","title":{"rendered":"Moskito"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Between 1995 and 1996, some friends and I would spend hours making music just to have fun, and oh how we had fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We made <strong>Funk Carioca<\/strong>, <strong>Trash Metal<\/strong>, <strong>Electronic Ax\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Funk Melody<\/strong>, <strong>Rock<\/strong>, <strong>Punk Metal<\/strong>, <strong>Heavy Metal<\/strong> and many other aberrations of nature that I can&#8217;t even define what they were. Although they were all made for no reason at all just for laughs, without much care, their quality was better than many paid demos recorded in &#8220;professional&#8221; studios here in Brazil at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Full Playlist<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Moskito\" width=\"950\" height=\"534\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/videoseries?list=PLoHlxIqu_r2ugzp4lzu_qzQyHFGUZDE7A\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All those who actively participated in the songs were <strong>Ricardinho<\/strong> with his crazy voices that he created and his funny jokes embodying <strong>Mininu<\/strong>, a character he invented. <strong>Gugu<\/strong> always did the second voice, giving the songs a dialogue and good ideas. And I did the rest, as well as the lyrics and sometimes singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The days went by and <strong>Gugu<\/strong>&#8216;s brother, <strong>Dudiabo<\/strong>, started to make small appearances in some songs, doing some higher-pitched voices because he was younger than the guys. And later he ended up re-recording my old song <strong><em>&#8220;Hoje Eu Tive Azar&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> in a very <strong>Ratos de Por\u00e3o<\/strong> version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon after, <strong>Bernardo<\/strong> joined as the main vocalist in a song we had recorded a few years ago, <strong><em>&#8220;Die or Die&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>, in a more electronic and equally rotten version. Our last song together was <strong><em>&#8220;Paulinha&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> in 1996, with <strong>Sandro<\/strong> doing his vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"144\" src=\"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/1994\/01\/Moskito-1024x144.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2101\" style=\"width:1140px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/1994\/01\/Moskito-1024x144.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/1994\/01\/Moskito-300x42.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/1994\/01\/Moskito.jpg 1167w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When I finally mastered everything to publish on the internet, I added a few more aberrations that came through <strong>Moskito<\/strong>, some songs with the guys from <strong>LucaNet BBS<\/strong>, an old and forgotten version of <strong><em>&#8220;Funk do Superman&#8221;<\/em> <\/strong>recorded at <strong>Rodrig\u00e3o<\/strong>&#8216;s house and finishing with <strong><em>&#8220;Chupeta&#8217;s Rap&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> from 2001 at the request of my friend <strong>rot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some songs were relatively successful and were passed on and recorded to friends of friends successively, still on cassette tapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most successful of all was <strong><em>&#8220;Windows (Para Quem Precisa!)&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> which I sang myself.
