{"id":577,"date":"2004-03-20T20:01:00","date_gmt":"2004-03-20T20:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/?post_type=portfolio_item&#038;p=577"},"modified":"2025-01-22T03:15:00","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T03:15:00","slug":"color-theory-featuring-depeche-mode","status":"publish","type":"portfolio_item","link":"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/project\/color-theory-featuring-depeche-mode\/","title":{"rendered":"Color Theory featuring Depeche Mode"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Brian Hazard<\/strong>, the mentor of the American band <strong>Color Theory<\/strong>, made an excellent <strong>Depeche Mode<\/strong> tribute album by himself called <strong>Color Theory presents Depeche Mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brian is so confident in the quality of his work that he even made a guarantee that anyone who bought the CD and didn&#8217;t like it would get their money back, assuming that any <strong>Depeche Mode<\/strong> fan would like it, and he is absolutely right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the album being very good, there was also a <strong>Remix Contest<\/strong> to remix his covers, which were made available every month to everyone who bought the CD, and that&#8217;s where I participated and was one of the 12 chosen with my remix of <strong><em>&#8220;Sweetest Perfection&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Color Theory feat. I actually thought of doing that myself when I recorded it! Really cool stuff! Awesome! Brian said that it would be a bit difficult to release the remixes on CD straight away since he would have to pay for the licenses, but that he was thinking about releasing them in the future depending on the sales response, etc., even if it was just a few copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So at the end of 2004 I was working on my album <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hajas.org\/wp\/project\/synthphony-remixed-vol-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Synthphony REMIXed! Vol.2<\/a><\/strong> and since my remixes hadn&#8217;t yet gotten a release worthy of them, I asked him for permission to release them on my CD, which was promptly granted and ended up being one of
