I entered in the DayBehavior Remix Contest between August and September of 2003 when the swedish band DayBehavior after few years stopped come back with a new album, and open this chance to remix two of the new songs to be extra tracks of his new album "Have you ever touched a dream".
The DayBehavior Remix Contest was organizated by the band the his new US label
A Different Drum.
The songs to remix were "The Moments I Couldnīt Save" that I love it since
the first time and "Mon :Ami" that is also a good dance track.
I decided to remix "The Moments I Couldnīt Save", o qual fiquei muito satisfeito com o trabalho final. Como havia terminado o remix em algumas semanas e ainda tinha quase 1 męs de prazo para envio resolvi arriscar e fazer o remix de "Mon :Ami", tentando fazer dela mais pro Synthpop e fugindo bem de sua versão original. Mandei para a banda e a gravadora e eles gostaram bastante, e elogiaram bastante a "The Moments I Couldnīt Save".
The final result was placed at October 11 and I was one of the only 9 selected,
with the song "Mon :Ami", that will be released on the CD.
But I also was very surprised for chosen that remix aside
"The Moments I Couldnīt Save" that had a great positive feedback
by the band when I sent, when the other was almost ignored and I thought that
was already out of competition.
So I ask the band about it and Carl told me that had other plans to my remix of "The Moments I Couldnīt Save", and probally will be released at Superstar single, what made me very happy aside is NOT 100% right that will be released. Now is only wait for the album and see what happens. Here few samples of my remixes.
