Tom Shear, the only member of the american band Assemblage 23 added at his site on the fan area the vocals and few samples of the song "Document" from his last album Defiance to Download, telling us to remix his song. A friend told me about these samples after listen to some of my remixes, and so I went there and downloaded the samples to try something. I never had heard that song because I don't had bought the new album yet, but I like a lot the vocals since the first time, and simply refused to listen the original song to not change my thoughts about the remix that I'm was doing. The final result I really liked, and so I'll try to find some clip of the original song and downloaded a sample from the Official Site, only to check if I put the vocals in the right way in the chorus, and I was chocked with the big difference between the versions. For my remix was so different and a lot more Soft than original, I'm was afraid that Tom will not like my remix. Aside that I sent to Tom and for my lucky he loved and will put to download at his site with the other fan's remixes. Later I post a thread at EG's forum about it and I received many positive feedbacks about my remix, that make me a lot happy. "Freddy - I like the remix a lot! Quite slick sounding... sounds like you spent quite awhile working on it..." Tom Shear I don't think that my remix will be one day released, but who knows? :)
